Warehouse Loader (Marietta)

Position Summary: This individual is responsible for operating an electric forklift for the purpose of loading and unloading incoming and outgoing products in a safe and efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Operates an electric forklift in a safe and controlled manner.
2. Inspects lift and reports any damage or deficiencies.
3. Moves levers and presses pedals to drive forklift and controls movement of lifting apparatus.
4. Positions forks, under, over, or around loaded pallets or products and transports load to designated area.
5. Unloads and stacks product by raising and lowering lifting device.
6. Verifies reloads with management prior to reloading vehicles.

7. Accurately loads and unloads all incoming and outgoing products in accordance with code date procedures and load sheets or load diagram, including draught trucks.
8. Places empty pallets and cooperage in a designated area in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
9. Places damaged product returns in the designated rework area.
10. Assists with overall clean-up of warehouse as required.
11. Reports all Company property damage promptly to supervisor.
12. Completes all work related paperwork neatly and accurately.

13. The employee regularly reports to work at the scheduled starting time.

14. The employee adheres to the established dress code.
15. Company approved uniforms are neat and clean.
16. Employee is neatly groomed in accordance with Company policy.

17. Company approved shoes are neat and clean.
18. All other Warehouse related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.
19. Understands and complies with all Atlanta Beverage Company policies and procedures.

20. Follows the established Company Rotation policy for all products.
21. Understands and accurately applies the Code Date book.

23. Attends all required Company meetings.
24. Employee initiates and actively participates in personal growth and development plans.
25. Works with all co-workers to ensure a safe working environment.
26. Maintains security and confidentiality of all Company information.

Qualifications:

• Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED certificate is preferred.

• Skills

• Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to speak simple sentences. 

• Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, finger, or feel; or to reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, climb, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The employee is frequently required to walk.
• Must be able to talk and hear to communicate with both internal and external customers.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Environmental Conditions and Temperaments:

• Job duties are performed inside a warehouse facility with a moderate to loud noise level.
• The employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
• Must present and maintain a positive, professional attitude and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees while performing the duties.
