About this role

The Engineering Technician supports product development, testing, and manufacturing activities across the full product lifecycle. This role involves hands on prototype fabrication, equipment setup, testing, data analysis, and cross functional collaboration to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and production operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, assemble, and modify prototypes using 3D printing, machining, soldering, and other manufacturing techniques.

  • Install, qualify, and support engineering and production equipment, including parameter characterization and validation activities.

  • Conduct qualification and verification testing, including test planning, fixture design, execution, root-cause analysis, and documentation.

  • Collect, organize, and analyze test data to support engineering decisions and continuous improvement.

  • Support mechanical, electronic, subsystem, and system-level assembly and design activities.

  • Perform research, testing, data collection, and prototype development independently or under general direction.

  • Assist with production line support and manufacturing site transfers.

  • Coordinate technical activities with internal teams and external suppliers.

  • Prepare technical reports, test summaries, and documentation using Microsoft Office tools.

  • Support NPI processes from early development through production ramp.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with power tools, measurement equipment, and machine shop tools.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including data interpretation and root-cause analysis.

  • Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks proficiency preferred).

  • Ability to estimate testing effort and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

  • Organized, and able to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.

  • Effective communicator and collaborative team member.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

  • Strong overall computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office
