NPI Engineering Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and mentor our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role involves interfacing with customers, making critical decisions, and ensuring compliance within regulated industries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise the Engineering Team, including performance evaluations, goal setting, mentoring, recruiting, conflict resolution, and budgeting.
Mentor and train team members in engineering skills and activities.
Manage team members working on multiple projects across various customers.
Interface with customers to define design inputs and address technical challenges.
Break down complex problems and identify solutions.
Make critical decisions based on company vision and initiatives.
Produce, review, and present product documentation including drawings, proposals, and technical reports.
Work with counterparts on assigned projects/management initiatives, with frequent off-hour communication.
Travel domestically and internationally as assigned (up to 15% of the time).
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a similar engineering degree, or equivalent experience.
Master's degree or additional certifications or licensure is preferred.
Minimum of 1 year in a personnel and technical management role in an engineering environment.
Experience in the medical device industry.
Experience in creating product documentation, product testing protocols, and test reporting.
Experience leading troubleshooting and resolution of design and production issues.
Ability to obtain a passport and travel domestically and internationally as required.
3 years of experience in manufacturing transfer and New Product Introduction projects.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience managing a team that executes New Product Introduction (NPI).
Solid understanding of manufacturing and design organizations.
Experience working in PLM and ERP systems.
Compliance within a regulated industry (Medical, Aerospace, etc.).
Experience within a Medical Device environment (FDA, ISO, IEC) is highly desired.
Experience with cross-functional business teams (i.e., sales, quality, etc.).
Proficiency with project management tools (i.e., MS Project, WorkFront).
Experience with manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
Experience as a team lead on multiple simultaneous development projects.
