What you’ll do:

This position will be responsible for providing architectural leadership and hands-on contributions for the HR Nexus family of reporting applications, functioning as the technical lead for the Nexus IT team of developers.  HR Nexus is a full-stack application in Azure supporting the HR needs of AT&T by sourcing data from multiple database resources and disseminating information to our managers through an internally developed user interface.  You will collaborate with the HR client and IT Nexus development teams to recommend and implement technical solutions.  Day to day, you will design, develop/code, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software solutions, ensuring efficient delivery processes and production support with a focus on automation and industry best practices.

  • Provide strategic technical direction.
  • Design, Development and Coding: Design and code software applications by applying various programming languages to execute development methodologies. (Software Engineers MUST design AND code applications at a minimum.)
  • Enforce security and compliance standards, and manage software license needs for the team.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Gather and review software requirements, provide estimates, create design specifications, and work with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.
  • Testing and Debugging: Develop and implement automated test plans, validate test environments, data, and results, design and implement code fixes, and produce reporting.
  • Maintenance and Support: Support all facets of the Nexus infrastructure.  Troubleshoot and resolve application configuration and environment issues.
  • Deployment: Facilitate and support the software deployment process.

What you’ll need:

  • 7+ years of experience in Agile concepts, Angular, API Security, Azure Databricks, CICD, Cloud Computing, Data Engineering, Data Visualization, Design Thinking, git, Helm, Java and Related Technology, JavaScript, MicroServices (MS), Snowflake, Spring Boot, Terraform
  • An expert applying broad business knowledge and strategic insight surrounding emerging trends and technologies to solve complex problems and drive organizational results. Leads critical, high-impact projects and designs/implements innovative business strategies. Works with minimal oversight, frequently consulting senior leadership and influencing executive decisions. Serves as a mentor and assists others with challenging issues. 

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science preferred

Our Principal Software Engineering, earns between $174,100-$261,100 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
