The scope of this Contract requires specialized expertise in areas such as high-performance computing (HPC), automated processing systems, distributed software design, and secure hosting and networking solutions. The IT infrastructure consists of a mix of Linux, Windows, and UNIX. The environment includes a variety of network devices, server interconnections, mass storage solutions, and essential supporting infrastructure services.  The services provided under this Contract support areas including HPC, infrastructure maintenance for HPC systems, networking, office automation, and the development of specialized software.

AT&T has an opening for a CSDI Infrastructure and Sustainment Support Network Engineer: To support our end-user community by providing Tier 2 and 3 on-site and remote supports for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment. This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities: The Network Engineer must provide Infrastructure Server and Storage, and Network Sustainment services, which the Government uses to enhance, complement, and sustain High Performance Computing (HPC) across two sites and geographic locations. (NSAW and NSAU) Infrastructure and Sustainment Support provides the Network Support that requires system level design, architecture of enterprise security and security boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure, packet capture software, TCP/IP protocol stack, routing/switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access controls. 

Proficient with the following (as specific position requires):  Provides Network support that requires system level design, architecture or enterprise security and security boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure packet capture software, TCP/IP protocol stack, routing/switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access controls. 

  • Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC) 
  • Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers and security devices. 
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and routing and switching protocols. 
  • Strong working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols. 
  • Strong working knowledge of stateful firewalls, and L3 access controls. 
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite. 
  • Able to support on-call requirements. 
  • Able to work in live call environment and utilize remedy and/or other ticketing system to track tasking 
  • Virtualization products; VMWare and Solaris containers. 

Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)

Required Qualifications: Three years demonstrable experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection in addition to related degree or 5 years’ experience in lieu of degree. Must have datacenter network design and architecture experience to include installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks. 

  • DoD 8570 IAT II level certification required.

Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
