About this role

Key Responsibilities:

As a DevOps Engineer 2, you will support the Platform Engineering team in implementing and maintaining cloud and automation solutions that enable rapid delivery while ensuring stability and security. This role focuses on assisting with design, deployment, and automation of infrastructure and applications, practicing CI/CD principles, and contributing to operational efficiencies.

Key Accountabilities
- Assist in the analysis, design, deployment, and automation of infrastructure and application solutions.
- Support administration and optimization of existing platforms.
- Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Implement CI/CD practices using automation tools and scripting.
- Monitor and troubleshoot systems to ensure reliability and availability.
- Document solutions and share knowledge with the team.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed.

- Configure and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Provision basic cloud resources (AWS EC2, S3, Azure VMs) under guidance.
- Write simple automation scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for routine tasks.
- Monitor system health using tools like CloudWatch or Dynatrace and escalate issues.
- Assist in resolving straightforward infrastructure or deployment incidents.
- Update and maintain documentation for processes and configurations.
- Collaborate on small enhancements or fixes with senior engineers.
- Perform routine platform administration such as patching and user access management.
Requirements
- Experience: 2–3 years in DevOps or related engineering roles.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure preferred).
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, TypeScript, JavaScript, PowerShell).
- Understanding of version control systems (Git).
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
