Astroscale U.S. Inc. is currently seeking a Systems Engineer Intern for Summer 2026.

Job Description

  • Work with a mentor in engineering to accomplish program related engineering tasks.
  • Work alongside fellow engineers to accomplish team goals for the period.
  • Design, build, and out brief work to the team and Astroscale engineering community.
  • Evaluate and help peer review fellow team member’s work.
  • Gain experience from and interact with team members across program management, engineering, business development, business operations, and marketing & communications.
  • Assist in architectural trades and interface definition for deployment and hosting of on-orbit servicing payloads.
  • Support the management of system-level design of space systems across all phases of projects, including requirement analysis, sensitivity analysis, mission analysis, and design trades.

Qualifications

  • Current student or recent graduate studying for a degree related to your internship.
  • Coursework, training, or experience related to your internship.
  • Fantastic communication skills: oral and written.
  • Familiarity with the systems engineering life cycle a plus, especially in satellite design/operations.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering principles and tools, e.g. MathWorks, MATLAB, coding experience, a plus.

Pay rate: $29/hr
