JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

We as a People (HR) team put the employee at the heart of everything we design and deliver, rapidly prototyping solutions, and making decisions based on real data and insights. You’ll be joining the Learning & Talent team, which aims to develop engaging learning experiences to bring out the best in our people, as it’s our people that make Astro Malaysia’s leading entertainment company.

As one of the members of the team, you will support the Learning & Talent team in delivering high-quality training and development programs. This role involves coordinating training sessions, managing learning resources, and assisting with talent development initiatives to help the company achieve its vision of being Malaysia’s No. 1 Entertainment Destination.

Your key responsibilities

1. Learning & Development Administration
  • Provide end-to-end coordination for training programmes, including vendor onboarding, e‑Visitor applications, room bookings, and on-site session setup.
  • Manage training logistics such as food and beverage arrangements, including raising Catering Order Forms for Esker payment processing.
  • Coordinate training room and facilities setup requests (e.g. pre-training setup, AV systems, stationery management).
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the smooth delivery of training sessions, including sending session reminders to trainers (e.g. HRDC attendance and meal schedules).
  • Process Learning & Development–related financial and compliance activities, including HRDC claim applications and tracking.
  • Ensure all training documentation and financial records are accurately updated and maintained in SharePoint.
  • Support the upkeep and operational efficiency of the learning facilities, ensuring equipment, materials, and systems are well maintained.
  • Assist in creating courses in Workday and uploading learning hours in Excel tracking sheets.
  • Prepare monthly newsletter drafts highlighting key activities and achievements from the previous month.
2. Digital Learning & Systems Support
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for learning systems (e.g. Workday user processes and workflow enhancements).
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining the accuracy of learning data for reporting and compliance purposes.
3. Reporting & Data Management
  • Track and report on training attendance, completion rates, and evaluation results.
4. Young Talent and Onboarding Support
  • Support the coordination and execution of young talent programmes, onboarding activities, engagement events, and learning weeks.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support, including documentation, communications, and coordination, for talent development initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

Your qualification and skills

  • Final year students in related field of bachelor’s degree such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology etc.
  • Strong sense of teamwork. Able to communicate with people at various seniority levels and work together in a project or team environment.
  • Detailed oriented, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven talent decisions.
  • Driven by progress and genuinely collaborating with others to make it happen.
  • A mindset that embraces curiosity and learning of all kinds and is open to being wrong and failing in the pursuit of learning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint.
