Operational Energy and Efficiency Analyst

LOCATION: Remote

JOB STATUS: Full-time

CLEARANCE: Top Secret

TRAVEL: 10% - 20%

 

 

Astrion seeks a research management analyst for a position supporting the Pentagon office of the Under Secretary of War, Acquisition & Sustainment (OUSW(A&S)), Office of Operational Energy Innovation (OE-I).  The position supports the OUSW(A&S) OE-I office in allocating funds, monitoring, managing, and reporting on 100+ OE-I projects across the domains of air, land, sea, cyber, space and supporting education activities. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Requires 5-10 years’ experience in finance. 
  • At least 5 years’ experience supporting the DoD preferred
  • BS/BA Required
  • Master’s Degree (MS/MA) highly preferred
  • Work requires travel to attend meetings and/or conferences.
  • Travel will include site visits to remote locations with unimproved surfaces and the ability to climb over industrial surfaces, ascend and descend stairs and navigate open gantries to observe advanced technologies.
  • Travel may include overseas locations requiring a current passport.
  • Light lifting to move displays and technology mock-ups will be required. 
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to be submitted for a security clearance upon hire.
  • Work will range from unclassified to TS; candidate must be clearable to the TS level, current active TS/SCI preferred.

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provide high quality written documentation of research and analytic support efforts.
  • Support various programs, projects, and OE education initiatives by collaborating with government labs, academia, industry, and across Department of War (DOW) entities (Services etc.)
  • Support organizational meetings and associated communities of interest by coordinating, conducting, and documenting OE innovation research 
  • Track completion of assigned actions and generate written/graphical materials and documents as required.
  • Assist and/or follow/support other administrative requirements necessary for the efficient management of assigned projects.
  • Provide project insights to leaders as they are discovered.
  • Support other efforts and tasks as directed by OSW/Service government customer(s) and assigned project leader.
  • Review and track project funding documents.
  • Manage deliverables and closeout document tracking while coordinating and scheduling meetings to support project execution.
  • Create/manage project schedules - monthly, quarterly, and annual assessments.
  • Other tasks assigned by government customers or Astrion leadership.
  • Manage 100+ OSW funding documents (MIPRs) to various project teams across multiple fiscal years
  • Assist in developing government and congressional reporting documents: R2s, congressional staffer slides, etc
  • Report on project status towards government benchmarks
  • Manage and track portfolio topline with respect to benchmarks, uncommitted funding, and remaining obligations
