JOB STATUS: Full-time
SALARY: $100,000 - $150,000
CLEARANCE: Top Secret with SCI and SAP Eligibility
TRAVEL: Up to 10%
Astrion is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO.
The Network Engineer will create, manage, and sustain mission systems networks and network support environments.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other Engineering / Science discipline or equivalent experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Network Solutions Design and Integration
- Strong Network programming skills in Juniper and Cisco switches, firewalls, and Routers
- Experience with Automation Tools and strategies including Ansible
- Demonstrated ability to understand enterprise level networks
- Comfortable configuring networks to include IP schemes and basic troubleshooting
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks, drive projects to closure, assimilate and correlate project information in a fast-paced environment and incorporate them into deployment strategies
- Demonstrated ability to shift from one project to another in an agile work environment
- Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within small project teams, including team interaction and presentations
- Ability to capture technical approaches, designs, block diagrams, and implementations in written and graphical form
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 years of Network Configuration experience
- 3 years of Automation practices experience
- 2 years of Cloud Integration experience
- Security Plus Certification
- Familiarity with structured cable
- Strong motivation to expand knowledge and skills
- Ability to approach classical problems with new ideas and innovation
- High degree of competence in best practice developing
- Cloud infrastructure knowledge
- Understanding of basic wireless communication
- Advanced network troubleshooting experience
