Engineering and Maintenance planner/CMMS SME
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Competitive Salary and Bonus
Introduction to role
APICOM is the new upcoming AstraZeneca API facility being constructed in College Park, Dublin, with commercial operations set to commence in 2026. The APICOM Maintenance Technician position will support the API manufactures to meet the required business demands (kgs, timings and scale-up learning).
Accountabilities
In the project phase, the Maintenance Planner will work within a cross-functional team to embed safe, efficient, and long-term operability into the facility design. Responsibilities include implementing best-practice maintenance foundations: creating functional locations, developing maintenance job plans and procedures, identifying and setting up spare parts and kits, establishing service level agreements, and configuring the CMMS to enable effective scheduling and execution.
In steady-state operations, the Maintenance Planner will support the Maintenance Manager and Plant/Process Engineers by planning and scheduling preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance for Process, Utilities, Facilities, and Tank Farm equipment. Key duties include coordinating internal and external work, onboarding and managing vendors, ensuring spare parts are kitted and available, optimizing the maintenance schedule, and serving as the CMMS superuser/administrator.
The Maintenance Planner will drive continuous improvement by supporting FMEA, implementing digital tools, and contributing to operational excellence programs such as TPM and 5S.
The position requires a strong technical grounding in engineering and maintenance, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external partners.
