Commercial Excellence Manager

Manage team of analysts. Assist in engaging Marketing and Sales to identify opportunities, provide recommendations, and implement key initiatives that drive competitive advantage and create a platform for flawless execution in the commercial organization. Manage high impact projects and initiatives to ensure strategic alignment, high quality, and timely deliverables.

Activities

  • Team leadership: Management, development, and prioritization of the work of a team of analysts who support and improve the performance of the sales team.
  • Incentive and quota models: Definition, monitoring, and optimization of incentives/quotas, including rule design, impact simulations, control, and governance.
  • Targets and alignments: Establishment and maintenance of commercial targets and territory/alignments in collaboration with Sales and Finance.
  • Commercial productivity: Management of strategic projects that improve sales team productivity (processes, tools, automations, dashboards, and best practices).
  • Market intelligence: Coordination and control of market research (Primary Market Research, Business Intelligence), from methodological design to interpretation and dissemination of results.
  • Performance data: Generation of reports and performance KPIs for sales leaders; maintenance of dashboards and review cadences.
  • Design, control, and budget: Support for the design and control of critical processes and budget control for the area, ensuring efficiency and traceability.
  • Industry trends: Active monitoring of industry trends and best practices to recommend continuous improvements in models, processes, and technology.

Experience, Education and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; postgraduate studies desirable.
  • Experience: 5+ years in Commercial Excellence/Business Intelligence or Business Insight in pharma or related industries;
  • Experience: 2+ years leading teams.
  • Analytical capabilities: Strong quantitative analysis, data storytelling, and impact measurement (KPI, ROI). Comfortable working with large datasets.
  • Tools: Experience with BI (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), SQL, advanced spreadsheets, and understanding of CRM/SFA (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce). Knowledge of PM methodologies and agile management desirable.
  • Market knowledge: Experience coordinating Primary Market Research and triangulating with secondary sources; understanding of pharma commercial incentives and access/territory dynamics.
  • Skills: Leadership, influential communication, stakeholder management, prioritization, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Languages: Fluent Spanish and professional English.
  • Desirable: Advanced Degree (MBA)
