About this role

Job Title: Payroll Specialist 1Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist 1 to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, coordinating hiring processes, and maintaining HR records. This part-time role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing flexibility to work both onsite and remotely.

Responsibilities
  • Verify the accuracy of employee timecards and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll information, including new hires, terminations, and changes in personal or employment status.
  • Audit SAP timecards to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare and submit prevailing wage filings.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation meetings.
  • Coordinate interview dates and candidate site visits.
  • Assist in tracking absenteeism from the shop floor call-off line.
  • Pull reports for contractor timecards.
  • Run, build, and analyze ongoing reports through HR reporting tools.
  • Coordinate with supervision for shift changes, employee moves and update ADP, working with HR accordingly.
  • Collaborate with HR on projects critical to the site to enhance the employee experience.
  • Assist in the recruitment of hourly open roles as required.
  • Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care.
Essential Skills
  • 2-3+ years of payroll experience with prevailing wages.
  • Experience in employee payroll information management.
  • Experience with HR-related duties pertaining to onboarding, recruitment, and timecard management.
  • Data entry skills, HR administration, and human resources knowledge.
  • Experience with ADP payroll systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma / GED with at least 2 years of experience as an operations assistant, payroll, or HR Coordinator.
  • Prior experience working with prevailing wage.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage workload from multiple sources.
Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work schedule with 2 days onsite, including Monday and one other day of your choice. The role is part-time, requiring 20 hours of work per week.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Imperial, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.78 - $23.78/hr.
