About this role

The role of Print Shop Data Analyst is one that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and an eye for quality. The role is responsible for handling data analysis for our print shop metrics as well as aspects of the printing process—from taking orders from customers to operating equipment to ensuring that printed materials meet quality standards. The individual must be able to multitask effectively in order to handle the volume of work that comes their way on a daily basis. They may also need to troubleshoot problems with equipment or software as they arise.  Role is onsite in our Richardson, Texas location 5 days a week and may require additional hours as needed.

 

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Create detailed dashboards
  • Data reporting
  • Forecasting print shop orders
  • Build monitoring boards for system outages/issues
  • Maintain marketing website
  • Oversee the creation, production and distribution of printed marketing materials
  • Ensure brand consistency and color correction
  • Operates a variety of print shop equipment including bindery, folder, paper drill, jogger, cutter, special binding, and staplers. Collates materials both manually and with machinery. 
  • Deliver mail to Post Office, FedEx, locate branch offices within a 20 mile radius.
  • Sets up, stocking, packing, inspecting each run for accuracy and quality. operates and maintains machinery for production of printed material.  
  • Performs routine maintenance and repair on equipment. Identifies and reports malfunctions.
  • Receives work order requests. troubleshooting mechanical problems, optimizing material usage, and using computers to download files from email.
  • provide exceptional customer service and solutions to customers print needs to produce professionally finished products. 
  • Operates and maintains high-volume black & white and color digital printing equipment controlled through print-management (Fiery) software and PrismaDirect.
  • Participate in faculty meetings and special events as assigned.
  • Establish and maintain open lines of communication with administration and staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Texas driver's license.
  • Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Powerpoint and Excel.
  • Experience data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to turn data into clear, usable information.
  • Capability to forecast and plan.
  • Experience in building dashboards.
  • Ability to review errors, recommend and optimize solutions.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and multi-task.
  • Effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate large volume printers, copiers, computers, and other equipment.
  • High Attention to detail / quality control.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work with various mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; moderate standing, stooping, bending, and repetitive hand motions.
  • Ability to handle a large volume of requests with composure.
