As our Senior Software Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

 

  • Being able to analyze customer issues and assist in Defect Triage
  • Being experienced in developing test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses (plan, scripts, cases)
  • Possessing the skills/knowledge to construct physical test harnesses
  • Participating in engineering best practices, such as coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Knowledge of QA methodologies, software development lifecycle, testing frameworks & test automation processes
  • Understanding and skills with CI/CD
  • Being fluent in programming using C or C#
  • Being able to characterize and improve the performance, reliability and stability of test harnesses/tools.
  • Working knowledge of various Scripting languages or other scripting tools
  • Planning and implementing longer term stability and reliability (stress) tests and managing the execution of interoperability tests in a Continuous Integration environment
  • Practicing methodologies such as BDD, TDD

 

 

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

 

           

  • An Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8+ years of related experience
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating environments, such as Windows, Linux and VMWare.
  • Experience with IDE’s and source code management tools
