About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Head of Service Sales to lead and grow our Industrial Door Service Sales function. In this role you will play a key role in shaping service sales strategy, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring our service portfolio meets evolving market and customer needs.

 

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving profitable growth across service contracts, renewals, and digital service offerings, while developing and inspiring a high-performing sales team.

 

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Market Leadership

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Represent the business at customer events, trade shows and industry forums
  • Monitor market trends and customer needs to influence service strategy and offer development

Sales Excellence & Revenue Growth

  • Own service contract revenue, renewals, pricing strategy and profitability
  • Drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities to increase customer value
  • Lead negotiations and close complex service and maintenance contracts
  • Improve sales processes, CRM accuracy and forecasting quality
  • Support budget planning, forecasting and margin improvement initiatives

Digital & Innovative Service Offerings

  • Lead the commercialisation of digital and IoT-based service solutions
  • Integrate digital services into maintenance contracts and new sales opportunities
  • Act as a digital ambassador, promoting innovation and adoption internally and externally

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute strategic service sales plans to achieve growth targets
  • Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal commercial and operational teams

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach and develop a multi-site service sales team (direct and indirect reports)
  • Conduct performance reviews, recruitment and salary discussions
  • Build a collaborative, customer-focused and high-performing sales culture

Performance & Reporting

  • Define and track KPIs to measure sales performance and profitable growth
  • Produce clear performance reports and present insights to senior stakeholders

 

About You

You should be a confident leader with strong commercial judgement and a proven background in service or service sales.

 

You should bring:

  • Proven leadership experience within service or service sales and a strong B2B sales background with experience of complex contracts
  • Excellent business acumen and financial understanding
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire and develop sales teams
  • Strong analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills
  • Confident communication skills and be able to engage at all levels internally and externally
  • Experience using CRM/ERP systems and MS Office
  • Full UK driving licence.
