ASRC Federal System Solutions, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Welder to support one of our major Prime programs at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Edwards AFB, CA. 

 

Key Role:

  • Must have experience in TIG Welding.
  • Must have experience in welding pressure vessels.
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints and provide feedback on work directions.
  • Operate according to Work Authorizations.  
  • Prompt and steady attendance is vital to the success of this position.
  • Wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment
  • Must be able to inspect work equipment before use and report maintenance needs.
  • Must place Safety of self and others ahead of everything else. All support must be well thought out, with safety in mind, before started.
  • Must have great customer service skills and able to communicate the status of jobs and understand deadlines.
  • Must have ability to work within a defined schedule and communicate any deviations.
  • Proven experience as a welder. Experience in both MIG and TIG preferred.
  • Ability to pass certification on the ASTROS Weld procedures.
  • Must have a strong mechanical ability.
  • Ability to operate a Forklift.
  • Experience bending a variety of tubing.
  • Experience flaring tube and use of Aerospace connectors. 
  • Demonstrated experience is using hand and power tools.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Must be able to gain access to the customer’s computer networks.
  • Will be required to work Overtime or support different work shifts with little to no notice.

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in Fabrication
  • HS Graduate or Equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
