ASRC Federal System Solutions (AFSS) is seeking a TPS Spacecraft MLI\Softgoods Technician Associate at Kennedy Space Center, FL.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Works from schematics, blueprints, and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components.
• Able to set up\ run industrial sewing machines.
• On/Off-Vehicle includes: Aeroshells, Hatches, and Heatshield.
• On/Off – MLI installation. Thermal Barrier bonding.
• Duties will also include Instrumentation, surface preparation for bonding operations.
• Review and validate MLI and Thermal Barrier processes for accuracy.
• Aid in establishing on floor thermal barrier and MLI flow plan.
• Uses standard electronic assembly tools and materials.
• May perform modifications, rework, and quality testing.
• Aerospace TPS (Thermal Protection System) experience, past\present with thermal barriers, MLI or equivalent.

Requirements:

• High school diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 0-2 years.
