Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position of Associate Knowledge Management Officer is assigned to the Office of the Principal Director (DCOD) within the Department of Communications and Knowledge Management (DOCK).

You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines. You will report to the Advisor, DCOD and officer (senior/principal/lead, as applicable).

 

Your Role

As an Associate Knowledge Management Officer, you will support the Advisor in coordinating the daily business of digital knowledge management.

 

You will:

  • Coordinate implementation of ADB's digital knowledge management projects and initiatives as part of the Digital KM team.
  • Ensure timely and efficient processing of administrative and operational tasks.
  • Work with operational departments to understand needs, coordinate implementation activities, and gather feedback and lessons learned to improve the implementation cycle.
  • Gather user data and assist in the design and implementation of information architecture to ensure scalable, user-friendly, and intelligent digital knowledge management systems.
  • Support the implementation of enterprise taxonomy and search optimization.
  • Contribute to initiatives such as knowledge graphs and semantic representation to prepare content for AI readiness.
  • Assist in improving ADB's digital knowledge platforms and tools.
  • Work with the Information and Technology Department to deliver learning and development programs related to digital knowledge management.
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars to support change management and user adoption.
  • Provide coordination and logistical support for activities related to knowledge management governance, digital KM, AI adoption and AI and KM related internal innovation.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required.
  • Perform other related tasks that may be assigned by the Advisor, DCOD.


You will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Library Science, Knowledge Management, Business Administration, or related fields; advanced qualifications.
  • ⁠At least 5 years of relevant professional experience (with a focus on digital knowledge management, taxonomy, information architecture, enterprise search).
  • ⁠Demonstrated proficiency in the following critical areas: digital knowledge management, information architecture, taxonomy implementation with search; additional experience in UX design, change management, and innovation management tools.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • ⁠Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and multi-stakeholder environment.

Additional Information

This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.

This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staff's particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staff's performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
