Purpose: Support the deployment of right range, right store

“Find your role”

The Range Analysts sit within the Supply Chain function within the Central Space, Range and Display team. Range Analysts will take on a pivotal role between Customer, Commercial, Data and Analytics, and category Modular Planning. Informed by insight you will improve range integrity to create clustered or store specific recommendations that are deployed through the BY software and handed over to Modular Planning to build planograms.

The Analyst will review ad hoc range deployment requests. Including store queries, availability review, or inventory queries and make recommendations that aligns to overall strategy, and handover to the category Modular Planners for deployment.

You will be able to work within the critical path timings and ensure no late handovers and collaborate with commercial business unit teams to deploy.

You Will:

  • Work closely with Commercial, Customer and Data Insights teams to review and analyse range recommendations at modular category level.
  • Use Customer and Commercial data to support the strategic and commercial scope. Use demographics, store format information and price sensitivity reports to add an additional level of data analyse to all recommendations.
  • ​Review ad hoc range deployment requests. Including store queries, availability review, or inventory queries and make recommendations that aligns to overall strategy, and handover to modular planning for deployment. ​
  • Work within the critical path timings and ensure no late handovers. ​
  • Lead Range deployment handovers with category, presenting to Modular Planning and supporting them to create a plan to deploy and understand the impacts of the recommendations. Requirement to be able to talk through the analysis process and have open conversations with the category teams about expectations on range deployment. This may require some level of negotiation.
  • Confidently present Range deployment recommendations to a wider group of Commercial stakeholders in scoping meetings.
  • Keep up to date with ranging insights, market trends, latest training and software upgrades to deliver ranging recommendations in-line with business strategy.

  • You will be able to manage your own workload, being able to prioritise projects and ad-hoc requests where necessary, ensuring project milestones are achieved.
  • You will have a keen eye for detail, ensuring the detail shared with the wider team is off the highest standard.
  • You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be confident presenting your work.
  • Have data analytics skills to be able to analyse large sets of numerical data.
  • You must have the ability to adapt to significant change and challenges, finding creative ways to overcome barriers.
  • Strong excel capabilities, with a history of using formulas and pivot tables
