Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to potential and/or actual security threats.

  • Assist with investigations, conduct security assessments, and maintain professional standards.
  • Has authority to arrest for both misdemeanors and/or felonies under applicable law, and provide court
    testimony as required.
  • Coordinate with chain of command, internal/external departments and other agencies as needed.
  • Operate vehicle in a safe and responsible manner to avoid accidents and traffic violations.
  • Maintain vehicle in a safe and clean condition and promptly communicate need for service or repairs.
  • May train and educate staff on response and security procedures and other training as assigned.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Certification specializing in Peace Officer obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Law Enforcement Certificate obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

Work Experience:

  • Shall be at least 21 years of age in order to attend the required law enforcement training academy courses.

Additional Preferences

  • ILEA Academy Training highly preferred
  • Highest level of professionalism, ethics, standards, and judgement preferred.
