Responsibilities
Supports financial operations by performing professional accounting services related to preparing, analyzing and maintaining financial statements, records and reports. Examines a variety of accounting documents to verify accuracy of computations and to ascertain that all transactions are properly supported, classified and recorded according to acceptable accounting standards.
- Financial Transactions: Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Reporting: Assist with preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Month-End and Year-End Closing: Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Documentation: Maintain documentation for revenue, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date. Enter accounting related information into business logs.
- Reporting Structure: Reports to the Branch Controller.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of Associate’s degree in accounting. Willingness to pursue a Bachelor’s degree for potential future advancement.
- Experience: 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a service or manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with accounting software and systems.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills for collaboration with team members and colleagues.
- Flexibility to participate in clerical tasks as required.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
