ABOUT THE ROLE
The HVAC Design Engineer is responsible for designing, coordinating, and delivering heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for building projects. The role focuses on HVAC system design, calculations, documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with technical standards, project requirements, and company objectives.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Design HVAC systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air conditioning installations.
  • Prepare layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and MagiCAD.
  • Develop BIM models and coordinated HVAC layouts within multidisciplinary projects.
  • Perform heating and cooling load calculations in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Perform ventilation calculations, airflow determination, duct sizing, and pressure loss checks.
  • Select HVAC equipment and systems based on project requirements and performance criteria.
  • Prepare technical documentation, schedules, equipment lists, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations (I5/2022, I13/2023, P118/2025, SR EN 12831, ASHRAE, SMACNA).
  • Provide technical support during construction and installation phases.
  • Continuously improve design processes and technical solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Building Services Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in in HVAC system design.
  • Technical & Practical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (heating, cooling, ventilation).
    • Proficiency in Revit (mandatory), MagiCAD, and AutoCAD.
    • Experience with HVAC load calculation software (e.g. HAP by Carrier – advantage).
    • Good understanding of international and local HVAC standards.
  • Soft Skills:
      • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      • Good time management and organizational skills.

  • Experience and certification in Smoke Exhaust systems.
