Job Title: Dive Team Coach – Seasonal

The Dive Team Coach plays a key role in leading ANCC’s competitive diving program while fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership in a positive and safe environment.
High-Level Responsibilities:
- Conduct and oversee the total competitive dive program as directed by the AGM, Aquatics, and the Aquatics Committee, ensuring alignment with ANCC standards and CCSDA guidelines.
- Provide instruction to all members of the ANCC Competitive Dive Team, emphasizing proper technique, safety, and compliance with current competitive diving rules.
- Promote and model sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and professionalism among all divers while representing Army Navy Country Club positively in both appearance and conduct.
- Attend and lead all scheduled dive practices and attend all dive meets throughout the Country Club Swimming and Diving Association (CCSDA) season.
- Under the supervision of the AGM, Aquatics prepare for all practices and dive meets, including coordination of schedules, equipment, and meet readiness.
- Supervise dive staff as required to ensure safe, organized, and effective practices and competitions.
- Attend and participate in dive and swim team meetings and social events as mutually agreed upon, including pep rallies, CCSDA meetings, and the end-of-season awards banquet.
- Partner with the AGM, Aquatics, Dive Team Representative, and Aquatics Communication Lead to maintain accurate and timely dive team information on SwimTopia and other member communication platforms.
Seasonal Schedule Details:
- Dive Team practices begin the day after Memorial Day and conclude at the end of July.
- Practice days and times are to be determined based on team needs and facility availability.
- Dive meets occur throughout the CCSDA season.
Requirements:
- Previous competitive diving and/or coaching experience preferred
- Strong understanding of competitive diving rules, safety practices, and technique instruction
- Ability to work effectively with youth athletes, parents, Aquatics staff, and Club leadership
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Certification (or ability to obtain prior to the start of the season)
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, and actively coach for extended periods
