As part of the Aquatics Team, the Aquatics Operations Supervisor plays a key role in managing daily aquatic operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and an outstanding member experience across all facilities.

Position Summary:
 The Aquatics Operations Supervisor oversees the operational aspects of ANCC’s aquatic facilities, providing leadership to staff, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and supporting special events and programming. This role combines facility oversight with team management to maintain high standards of service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of all aquatic facilities, including pool decks, locker rooms, and member areas, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and readiness.
  • Oversee setup and takedown for aquatic events, swim meets, lessons, and special programming.
  • Lead, train, and mentor aquatics staff, fostering teamwork, professionalism, and high performance.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including CPR, lifeguard standards, and facility emergency procedures.
  • Assist in scheduling, staffing, and operational planning to maintain smooth facility operations.
  • Communicate effectively with members, staff, and management regarding facility policies, schedules, and events.
  • Collaborate with Aquatics Facilities Manager and other department leads to continuously improve operational efficiency and member experience.

Requirements:

  • CPR certification required; Lifeguard certification preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in recreation, hospitality, or aquatic management a plus.
  • Previous experience supervising staff in aquatic or recreational facilities preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and actively participate for extended periods.
