Job Summary The Manufacturing Engineer drives safe, efficient, and compliant production through strong process ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven continuous improvement. This role serves as a technical leader supporting operations, quality, programs, and customers while improving manufacturing performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Core Capabilities Manufacturing Process Ownership
Develop, improve, and sustain manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, and work instructions.
Ensure production processes meet safety, regulatory, contractual, and quality requirements.
Diagnose and resolve process or equipment issues impacting production performance.
Continuous Improvement
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve productivity, reduce waste, and lower cost.
Use statistical and engineering analysis to reduce defects, scrap, downtime, and labor hours.
Identify, prioritize, and lead productivity and yield improvement initiatives.
Technical Leadership and Collaboration
Serve as a technical point of contact for assigned products and programs.
Collaborate with operations, quality, program management, procurement, and suppliers.
Communicate technical status, risks, and recommendations to leadership and customers.
Product & Equipment Lifecycle Support
Support new product introduction, transition to manufacturing, and full-rate production.
Review drawings, specifications, materials, and BOMs for manufacturability and compliance.
Lead or support capital equipment integration and automation efforts.
Risk, Change, & Compliance Management
Apply Management of Change (MOC) to evaluate and implement engineering changes safely.
Support program risk assessments, technical reviews, audits, and proposal efforts.
Upholds Armtec’s ethics, values, and business conduct standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Process, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
