The Healthcare Support Apprentice will gain hands-on experience and receive structured on-the-job training in a clinical or healthcare environment. Under the guidance of experienced healthcare professionals, this position will assist with a variety of operational and administrative tasks while developing the foundational skills needed for a successful career in healthcare services. This apprenticeship is designed to prepare individuals for future certification or advancement opportunities in roles such as Certified Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or Behavioral Health Technician as well as other clinical support, medical administration, or healthcare logistics.

Description

1. Assist with daily clinical and administrative tasks such as preparing materials, setting up patient care areas, and supporting healthcare team operations. 

2. Follow established procedures to complete basic tasks under supervision, including patient intake support or supply preparation. 

3. Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical or administrative workspaces. 

4. Support healthcare staff during patient services, procedures, or internal projects. 

5. Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist with scheduling patient appointments or staff meetings. 

6. Process patient forms, update medical or administrative records, and ensure documentation accuracy. 

7. Perform general office duties including filing, data entry, and handling correspondence. 

8. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and restocking medical or office supplies. 

9. Participate in training sessions, workshops, or online learning modules related to healthcare operations. 

10. Shadow experienced professionals, complete assigned coursework, and apply feedback to improve skills and performance.
