THE TEAM

The mission of the People Practices & Compliance Department is to identify, consult, and mitigate people risks in the business through creative problem-solving, and the development of proactive employment practices

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing, and our People Practices & Compliance team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for mitigating people risks through compliance activities. As the Associate, Compliance, you will support the team responsible for the development and ongoing validation and governance of people compliance activities. THE ROLE

As the Associate, People Practices & Compliance, you will:

  • Partner with relevant Business Partners, including Legal and Risk, to gather legislative and policy requirements

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement people policies, supporting effective change management

  • Audit and revise the Employee Handbook to ensure consistency with current policies and legislative requirements

  • Support the annual rollout of the Employee Handbook, ensuring consistent application across teams

  • Support the development of frameworks, tools and processes that support effective and compliant employment practices

  • Partner with stakeholders to advise on amendments to employment contracts, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Associate, People Practices & Compliance has:

  • Proven skills, certifications, education and/or experience in human resources compliance

  • A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles

  • The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners

  • A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business

THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $75,000 -$100,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
