About this role

JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager of Mergers & Acquisitions Development at Argano plays a pivotal role in the company's growth strategy by identifying, evaluating, and executing M&A opportunities. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting thorough market and financial analysis, and leading due diligence efforts to ensure successful transactions. The  Manager also work closely with executives to develop and implement integration plans that maximize the value of acquisitions.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify potential M&A targets through market research, networking, and strategic analysis.
  • Lead the evaluation and due diligence process, including financial modeling, risk assessment, and strategic fit analysis.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (legal, finance, operations) and external advisors (investment bankers, consultants) to facilitate the M&A process.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to senior leadership and the board of directors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including target company executives, industry experts, and potential partners.
  • Oversee the integration process post-acquisition to ensure seamless transition and realization of synergies.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of acquired entities, identifying and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform M&A strategy.

 

Minimum and/or Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-6 years of experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, or management consulting.
  • Proven track record of leading successful M&A transactions, including due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and integration.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Experience in the technology services or business services industry is preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Financial Analysis & Modeling: Proficiency in financial statement analysis and valuation methodologies. Experience in building complex financial models to assess potential M&A transactions.
  • Legal & Regulatory Knowledge: Ability to identify and mitigate legal risks associated with deal structures and negotiations.
  • Due Diligence Expertise: Ability to analyze and interpret complex data to identify key insights and risks.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to achieve favorable outcomes for the company.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Ability to develop and implement comprehensive M&A strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Communication & Influencing: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Demonstrated leadership abilities to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams. Experience in mentoring and developing team members to enhance performance and career growth.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions. Ability to make timely and well-informed decisions under pressure.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in financial analysis and due diligence processes.
