Job Summary 

Aretum is seeking a skilled and motived Technical Information Specialist. As a Technical Information Specialist you will be assisting in the planning, writing and editing of nutrition informational content for external facing client materials to include their website.

Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.  

Responsibilities 

  • Planning, editing, and writing nutrition informational content, products, and tools for the client website
  • Review existing nutrition and health resources for alignment with client priorities
  • Identify gaps in nutrition resources and curate new resources as needed
  • Improve content organization and structure for ease of use for users
  • Ensure compliance with Section 508 and plain language standards
  • Analyze user engagement and behavior with resources and nutrition information products
  • Submit quarterly analytics reports with actionable recommendations
  • Support planning and implementation of focus groups
  • Design and implement user surveys when appropriate through informational and demonstration sessions
  • Analyze user feedback and report findings with actionable recommendations
  • Promote resources through social media (e.g., X), blog posts, and newsletters
  • Exhibit at national and local conferences
  • Develop infographics and promotional materials
  • Provide library refence services, as needed, for nutrition and food safety related questions
  • Add or remove website content as needed
  • Master’s degree (nutrition, public health field, library science, or library and information science) (5 years of experience in nutrition or a public health related field acceptable in lieu of degree)
  • Professional experience and demonstrated knowledge of nutrition public health concepts
  • Experience supporting outreach, as well as resource design and optimization in the topic areas of food, nutrition, food safety, agriculture, or related science disciplines
  • Experience with content editing/review to include Section 508 compliance
  • Strong written and verbal communication

Travel Requirements 

Travel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs.
