Job Title: Dishwasher

Broad Functions: Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards. Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.

Main Duties and Responsibilities Include:

1. Load, run and unload dish machine.
2. Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
3. Carry clean dishes to the cook’s line and other proper storage area.
4. Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
5. Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
6. Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
7. Keep the dish room clean and organized.
8. Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
9. Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times.
10. Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
11. Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
12. Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
13. Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
14. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas including equipment, meat blocks, hoods, grills, refrigerators, service counters, serving trays, and storage areas.
15. Maintain all kitchen utensils in clean and orderly condition.
16. Follow all security and safety procedures established by the Company.
17. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. At least one year’s experience in a Store/Restaurant environment.
2. Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.
3. Ability to work in a team environment.
4. Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, and policy documents.

1. Be able to work in a hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
2. Frequently immerse hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions.
3. Be physically able to lift, reach, bend, and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and either lift or move up to 50 pounds.
4. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
5. Be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis per shift.
