Location: London/Hybrid (Typically 2/3 days in the office)

Purpose of the Role: - To provide general technical back up support and liaise with markets and clients as a key member of the Marine team. Primary focus Marine Liability, Hull & Machinery, IV, War and P&I.

Key Role Accountabilities:

o   Understand the London Insurance Market and International Insurance Markets.

o   Preparing market submissions and placing documentation including MRCs and endorsements and assist with wordings.

o   Ensure all placing, contract and closing documentation satisfies the client requirements and complies with internal procedures.

o   Use Whitespace to obtain market agreement of MRCs and endorsements.

o   Co-ordinate and manage client and placement records, maintaining clear, accurate and comprehensive files reflecting the transactions undertaken on behalf of clients.

o   Facilitate processing of tax calculations and debit notes.

o   Ensure agreed payment terms and payment warranties are met through credit control.

o   Daily monitoring with IBA team of bad debt, cash and funding.

o   Be an effective team member and collaborate well with peers in the London office.

o   Use the data and analytics produced within the Marine team to monitor Key Performance Indicators.

o   Escalate any potential E&Os to line management and the Legal & Compliance team at the earliest opportunity.

o   Contribute to retention of clients through planned and coordinated account renewal, Inviting and monitoring renewal instructions.

o   Support the identification and development of opportunities for account growth.

o   Logging of all quotes and enquiries

o   Bordereaux monitoring for current binders and line slips.

o   Assisting with sanctions screening and “know your client” due diligence procedures.

o   Generally providing support to the producers/brokers within the Division

o   Carrying out such projects and other duties and tasks as may from time to time be required

 

Qualifications & Experience:

A minimum of 5 years relevant Insurance experience required.

Person Specification:

·         Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.

·         Organised and reliable.

·         Collaborative team working approach.

·         Ability to work with a range of employees at different organisational levels.

·         Accurate and attentive to detail.

·         Good written and verbal communication skills.

·         Good numeracy skills and ability to work with data.

·         Ability to work towards and meet deadlines.

·         Ability to multitask and prioritise own workload.
