Position Summary
St. Catherine Laboure Catholic School is seeking a dynamic and mission‑driven STREAM Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This educator will lead instruction that integrates Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics in meaningful, hands‑on, and engaging ways. The ideal candidate is passionate about inspiring curiosity, guiding students through problem‑solving challenges, and fostering collaboration across grade levels. This role plays a key part in advancing the school’s commitment to academic excellence and Catholic identity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging STREAM lessons that promote inquiry, creativity, and hands‑on exploration.
- Integrate Catholic teachings and values into classroom activities and project‑based learning.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, teamwork, resilience, and innovation.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support cross‑curricular STREAM initiatives.
- Guide students through engineering design processes, technology applications, and scientific investigations.
- Utilize age‑appropriate tools, materials, and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
- Assess student understanding and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school community events.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications
- Practicing Catholic committed to the mission and teachings of the Church.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEM fields, or a related discipline.
- Experience teaching STREAM, STEM, or project‑based learning (preferred).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for hands‑on, inquiry‑based learning.
- Ability to inspire students and support a culture of innovation and academic excellence.
