About this role


Responsibilities

Join an innovative team providing cloud architecture and engineering solutions to deliver Space and Intelligence capabilities across many development programs. Be part of a team that is leveraging cutting edge processes and technology such as: cloud resiliency and automation, container orchestration, Agile, and DevSecOps. 

 

You will focus on brokering new cloud accounts from the vendors, prioritizing development for DevSecOps and cloud capabilities, creating strategies for expanding to new cloud providers, and determining the infrastructure and software needed for development, test, and operations.  

 

Your responsibilities are to:  

  • Act as Systems Engineer and Technical Assistant (SETA) to the Government, advising cloud account provisioning and priorities of DevSecOps environments and services. 
  • Prioritizing backlogs of development programs based on Government funding, GEOINT mission priorities, and schedule optimization. 
  • Assessing cloud costs and confirming developer estimates are reasonable and within budget. 
  • Maintaining an overall schedule of establishing new cloud accounts and environments for development programs. 
  • Providing root cause analysis for solving challenges in leveraging cloud, GOTS, or COTS services regarding the development and testing of Space and Intelligence capabilities. 
  • Advising Government technical director in how and when to expand to new cloud providers. 
  • Comparing cloud vendor services to determine best performance for costs. 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly clearance 
  • Knowledge of at least two cloud vendors across AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud, and IBM Cloud. 
  • At least one cloud certification. 
  • Experience with Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) and/or Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT). 
  • Knowledge of SAFe or Agile frameworks. 
  • Strong representational, oral, and written communications skills; including the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products. 
  • Proven organization and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interface effectively via written and oral forums with personnel at all levels of government. 

Desired: 

  • Experience with Space and Intelligence.  
  • Knowledge of GEOINT systems, CONOPS, and metadata.  
  • Experience with requirements, architecture and interface analysis, Agile integration, and informal/formal testing
  • Experience with commercial Atlassian tools (e.g. Confluence, JIRA)
  • Preferred TS/SCI w/ CI Poly
