Role description:

Arcadis is looking for a Soil Characterization Intern with a technical background (engineering, geology or related discipline), who will be involved in the planning and organization of environmental investigation on different sites all over Italy, with a strong focus on Health&Safety management.  

Role accountabilities:

  • Supporting the Project Manager in planning and organizing environmental soil investigations for sites in different market sectors (Energy, Logistics, Industrial…);
  • Dealing with field geologists and subcontractors on site;
  • Preparing the preliminary safety documentation for the site activities, according to national legislation;
  • Preparing the preliminary Client’s permits/certifications requested for the site activities, according to their internal quality management system;
  • Engaging with the Client’s H&S people to ensure compliance with legal and internal requirements;
  • Collaborating in the preparation of final investigation technical reports.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or equivalent qualification;
  • Basic knowledge of environmental regulations (D.Lgs.152/06) and workplace safety laws (D.Lgs. 81/08);
  • Genuine interest in safety management;
  • Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks;
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite;
  • Excellent language level in Italian and English  (B2 or above). 

 

Work Location: Milan (hybrid)
Contract Type: Internship, 40-hours work week.
