Description
Reporting to the Community Manager, the Resident Relations Manager is responsible for creating a positive living environment for apartment community residents. Key responsibilities include managing the resident relations staff and responding to resident concerns.
Position Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, addressing concerns, and ensuring their needs are met.
- Review the daily activity logs provided by the courtesy patrol and distribute violation notices as needed.
- Order forms used by RR, parking passes, Key Trak supplies, and Door King supplies.
- Follow up with resident disputes.
- Follow up with outward appearance inspections.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair services for common areas and amenities, ensuring they are well-maintained and functional.
- Handle lease renewals and terminations.
- Manage community amenities such as fitness centers, pools, clubhouses, and recreational areas, ensuring they are accessible and well-maintained.
- Organize community events, social gatherings, and activities to foster a sense of community and engagement among residents.
- Develop and manage budgets for resident services, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial goals.
- Implement and enforce safety and security measures to ensure the well-being of residents and the security of the property.
- Oversee a team of staff members responsible for providing resident services.
Requirements
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED: Minimum requirement.
- Bachelor’s Degree: Preferred, especially in fields like business administration, hospitality management, property management, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in a customer service role.
- Experience in property management, leasing, or real estate is required.
- 2+ years proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with residents, staff, and vendors.
- Strong ability to address and resolve conflicts, complaints, and issues efficiently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with residents and create a sense of community.
- Proficiency with property management software (Yardi), Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with cloud-based document management systems (Box).
Certifications:
- Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) certifications are preferred but not required.
Knowledge:
- Understanding of local, state, and federal housing laws and regulations.
- Basic knowledge of property maintenance and facilities management.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting.

- High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if necessary.
- High level of professionalism and a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move around the property frequently.
- Capability to handle physical tasks such as inspecting units or common areas.
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a background check after conditional offer of employment.

Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is expected to be $75,000k - $90,000k per year plus an annual discretionary bonus plan; base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
