Location: VASDHS & CBOCs | Reports To: Chief/Supervisory Technologist | Schedule: Weekday and variable coverage; on-call as needed
Compensation: $60.00/hr plus $5.09 for Health and Wellness
Perform screening and diagnostic mammography, special views, and needle localizations while ensuring compliance with ACR, MQSA, and VA quality control standards.
Conduct screening and diagnostic mammograms, magnification views, and assist with localizations.
Uphold stringent QC schedules (daily/weekly/monthly/qtr/annual) and document per ACR and VHA directives; initiate corrective actions for deviations.
Prepare patients, verify histories, educate on procedures; ensure comfort, privacy, and safety.
Optimize positioning and compression to achieve diagnostic image quality with minimal dose.
Transmit studies to PACS; complete documentation in VistA/CPRS; support peer review.
Collaborate on workflow improvements and compliance audits; familiarity with QA platforms (e.g., MagView preferred).
ARRT (R) and ARRT (M); California licenses in Radiography and Mammography.
2+ years full-time, current mammography experience within the last 3 years.
Strong QC/MQSA background; BLS; PACS/EMR proficiency.
