The Contractor shall provide qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support on-site nursing services for eligible Veterans receiving care within the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, including Community Living Centers. LPNs will provide practical nursing care under the direction and supervision of Registered Nurses and other authorized healthcare providers, consistent with VA standards and nationally recognized nursing practices.
Contractor personnel will have access to required patient care equipment, supplies, and VA computer systems necessary to perform assigned duties.

Compensaton: Starting at $40.00/hr for this opportunity
Provide direct patient care to geriatric Veterans under the supervision of an RN.
Assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, treatments, and basic nursing procedures.
Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice and per provider orders.
Observe and report changes in patient condition to supervising RN or provider.
Assist with patient comfort, safety, and mobility in Community Living Center settings.
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in VA-approved systems.
Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards at all times.
Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of California, with no negative indicators.
Minimum of two (2) years of recent LPN experience, preferably in geriatric, long-term care, or inpatient settings.
Demonstrated ability to provide quality nursing care in accordance with national standards.
