Overview

Job Title : Lead Security Operations Specialist

Location : Bangalore

Shift : UK

Key Responsibilities 

  • Security Design & Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain robust security controls across cloud, endpoint, network, operational technology (OT), and data environments. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with infrastructure, platform, and service teams to seamlessly integrate security into all layers of technology. 
  • Security Tool Operations: Manage, operate, and optimize security technologies, including EDR, CSPM, CNAPP, NGFW, IDS/IPS, SIEM, SAST, DAST, CIEM, WAF, and vulnerability management platforms. 
  • Infrastructure-as-Code & Automation: Develop and maintain IaC and automation pipelines to enforce security policies and streamline security tooling deployment. 
  • Detection & Response Engineering: Contribute to the development of detection logic, response playbooks, and security telemetry pipelines. 
  • Risk & Threat Management: Lead and participate in threat modeling, risk assessments, and security reviews for new and existing systems. 
  • Security Program Improvement: Drive continuous enhancement of security engineering practices, frameworks, and capabilities. 
  • Technology & Threat Awareness: Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to inform and adapt security strategies. 
  • Requirement Engineering: Collaborate with stakeholders to define, validate, and prioritize business and security requirements, ensuring alignment with standard capabilities. 
  • Solution Design Governance: Review and sign off on functional and technical use-case specifications, and act as an escalation point for solution architecture issues. 
  • Production Readiness & Approval: Ensure solutions meet security and compliance standards, providing final approval and sign-off for production implementation. 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, software engineering, or a related field, with 10+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent military cybersecurity training and experience. 
  • Proven hands-on expertise in at least three of the following areas: Cloud Security, Endpoint Security, Network Security, Application Security, Data Security, or Logging/Monitoring. 
  • Practical experience with modern security tools and platforms, such as EDR, SIEM, CSPM, CNAPP, or vulnerability management solutions. 
  • Strong proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash). 
  • Working knowledge of DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies and CI/CD pipeline integrations. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience working in large-scale, hybrid cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). 
  • Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles, Least Privilege, and modern security architectures. 
  • Proven ability to address and resolve cybersecurity challenges at scale. 
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering security engineering initiatives, including projects, roadmaps, and strategic deliverables.
