Civil Technical Specialist
ATG (Applied Technology Group) is the premier technology business partner for the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry in North America. LOCATION: Offices in North Little Rock, AR, and Phoenix, AZ. Open to remote in other locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Independently handle complex Civil 3D projects and documentation.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure coordinated and conflict-free models, designs, or workflows.
Perform detailed quality checks to ensure compliance with project standards and specifications for civil.
Mentor clients and team members and assist in technical troubleshooting using Civil 3D and civil design.
Deliver training, advanced software implementation, and standards set up for client projects on Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and possibly other software included in the Autodesk AEC collection
Assist with drafting, content creation, and process improvements for client projects.
Stay updated on advancements in modeling tools, standards, and best practices in the civil discipline.
Producing Scopes of Work (SOWs) if needed
Participate and guide client meetings and Initial Assessments.
Conduct advanced coordination and resolution of design conflicts or integration issues.
Organize multiple projects + clients
Be part of the Civil Team and share knowledge, help other team members, and provide insight to team discussions
QUALIFICATIONS:
8+ years of experience performing Civil 3D Design and Drafting
Experience with stormwater drainage, drainage analysis, and hydrographs (preferably using Autodesk or Innovyze software)
Experience with content creation + process improvement for client projects in Civil 3D and Autodesk Construction Cloud
Know how to create Civil 3D styles
Experience collaborating with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure coordinated and conflict-free models, designs, or workflows.
Expertise in performing detailed quality checks to ensure compliance with project standards and specifications.
Experience providing technical troubleshooting support for clients
Up-to-date knowledge of advancements in Civil 3D, standards, and best practices in the civil discipline.
Strong communication skills.
Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
Ability to guide a meeting with client + keep tasks and projects organized
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of Recap
Knowledge of Infraworks
CAD Manager experience
Proficiency in delivering training, implementing advanced software solutions, and setting up standards for client projects in Civil 3D and ACC.
Autodesk Professional Certification in Civil 3D and AutoCAD
Autodesk Instructor Certification
