We invite you to join Apple's growing Engineering Program Management (EPM) group. Our team is looking for a hard-working, detail oriented, and motivated Hardware EPM to drive Apple’s product development process from prototype to mass production. We value folks who take ownership and drive for product excellence while demonstrating great teamwork skills. This role uniquely combines technical and financial expertise to drive Capex and Budget for iPhone Engineering product development.

Description


In this role you will plan, forecast, track Capex demand and manage budgets for iPhone engineering builds. Leveraging your ME/EE background, you will assess, communicate and monitor equipment requirements with multiple cross functional teams and contract manufacturers. You will also work very closely with third party vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and manage equipment bring-up/ maintenance related resources/vendors to meet critical program schedules. In addition to this, you will collaborate with Apple internal teams to consolidate program costs, review quotations from contract manufacturers and drive continuous improvement in budget planning processes. During prototype builds you will monitor actual spend, compare planned versus actual costs and analyze gaps. You will also provide regular Capex status updates to leadership, deliver executive-level reporting on budget performance and drive timely budget approvals to support program execution. This is an individual contributor role that will work as a part of a large program management team towards the successful development of the overall product.

Minimum Qualifications


B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering or related field required Experience in consumer electronics or other complex capital equipment such as military, aerospace, automotive, large agricultural machinery, etc 4+ years of industry experience in a related field Excellent organizational, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience, rapidly understand new situations & adapt to changes. Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking abilities Flexibility to collaborate with global teams spread across multiple timezones Ability to travel - domestic & international (up to 35%)

Preferred Qualifications


MBA in Operations Management, Finance or related field Work experience demonstrating collaboration with global teams with some tenure abroad Degree or prior experience in Mechatronics or related field that demonstrates combined experience / knowledge across mechanical, electrical and software aspects of building a product Prior experience working with Operations to ensure smooth transition from development to mass production Prior experience working on hardware development with Contract Manufacturers
