The Personal Care Assistant is primarily responsible for observing patients and providing assistance in personal care.
Observes assigned patient(s); serves in the capacity of a sitter for assigned patient(s) during specific shift.
Assists with basic personal care services as appropriate and as assigned.
Assists assigned patient(s) in toileting.
Observes for and reports safety hazards, and prepares incident reports.
Participates in team conferences, in-service education programs, and staff meetings.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Successful completion of all State, Federal, ARH, or accreditation mandated training programs as they become available.
Two (2) weeks to one (1) month on-the-job training is required to attain proficiency of performance of assigned duties and responsibilities.
