The Network Coordinator is accountable for the proper installation and maintenance of the ARH computer network equipment and peripherals.
Assures that the installation of computer and telephone equipment adheres to the vendor specification and codes, and meets the interior design layout.
Coordinates the use, maintenance, and repair of the computer network equipment.
Maintains a schematic of the ARH computer network equipment to aid in the planning of future expansions and trouble shooting existing problems.
Evaluates the quality of the ARH computer network equipment and maintenance.
Assists in procedural training.
Maintains inventory of installed and replacement equipment, its location and record of scheduled maintenance.
Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of the operation of testing instrumentation.
Make recommendations for proper network monitoring, testing tools and associated software.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Must be available to travel as needed (estimated to be 80% of time).
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree in Computer Science and two (2) years related experience, utilizing a real time communication system or
Minimum of four (4) years related experience.
Successful completion of courses in Data Communications.
Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel.
POSITION PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess the physical ability needed to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally; and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently; and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for medium work.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsible for maintaining records of equipment inventory, equipment location, maintenance activity, and network configuration.
Responsible for assuring that the computer network equipment is installed and maintained according to specifications, and in the proper location.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field so they may recommend new services, products and equipment. Continue professional development by attending education programs designed for specialty areas.
