
We are seeking a proactive and people-focused HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team in Moncton, NB. This is an on-site position reporting directly to the HR Manager and provides day-to-day support across all core HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, compliance, immigration support, and internal communications.
The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting managers and employees, ensuring smooth HR operations, and contributing to a positive and compliant workplace culture.
Recruitment & Onboarding
Coordinate job postings, resume screening, interviews, and selection processes
Manage onboarding activities, including orientations, documentation, and system access
Support workforce planning initiatives, career events, and student plant tours
Employee Relations
Act as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns
Support managers with performance management, attendance, and conflict resolution
Assist foreign workers with immigration-related processes
Conduct exit interviews and track turnover metrics
HR Administration & Compliance
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
Act as a super user (SU) of the HR system
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Support audits, reporting, and documentation needs
Training & Development
Support the implementation and tracking of training and development programs
Monitor training completion and effectiveness
Performance Management
Assist with performance review cycles, goal tracking, and feedback processes
Support talent development and succession planning initiatives
HR Projects & Communication
Participate in HR initiatives such as employee engagement, wellness, diversity & inclusion, and policy updates
Maintain and update internal communications (digital monitors, noticeboards, communication plans) to ensure timely and consistent messaging
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a multi-functional HR role
Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practices, and HR systems (HRIS, ATS)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
