Pune Global Service Centre Luxembourg Finance Team

India is growing as an Apex Group finance hub as it provides intelligent, enthusiastic, and energetic professionals to compliment a strong global finance team. This is a great opportunity to join the Luxembourg Finance Team who have chosen India as their Finance Global Service Centre (GSC). 

Luxembourg is one of the Tier 1 Countries for Apex and contributes ~ 40% of the total Group’s Revenue. The major businesses in Luxembourg include Financial Solutions and Fund Solutions along with a small component of Technology. The European Depositary Bank is one of the entities in Luxembourg. The total business entities in Luxembourg are ~ 23 with the manpower of 1300 employees.

This is the first phase of hiring for the Finance team in India – Pune. The organisational structure is relatively flat thereby increasing opportunities for everyone to grow and build a successful career.

We are looking to hire team members who will help in setting up a world class high performing team. These roles are expected to understand the various processes end to end and drive data cleansing, standardised processing and be engaging with business, management, and different stakeholders across the globe.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance professional to join a fast-growing financial services organisation and be a part of pilot project helping create a high performing Team.

The first phase is targeted to hire team members at all levels which include Senior Associate, Assistant Vice President, Vice President and Senior Vice President.

The Luxembourg Finance team will consist of 2 major verticals namely: Financial Controllership and Business Partnering.

The Luxembourg Financial Controllership team will primarily be responsible for Month end related activities which include Billing & Cash Collection, owning end to end revenue, Accounts receivable & Payable, Accrued Income, Month end close in adherence with the accounting policies, Statutory & Regulatory reporting, Month on Month Variance analysis, Adhocs.  This also includes Stakeholder management, and the primary stakeholders are the Head of various Businesses, Head of Finance (CFO), Regulators and Auditors. 

The Business Partnering team will be responsible for Assisting and supporting the various Business Heads with business specific requirements. The common activities which will be carried out by this team would be business specific and deep dive analysis in the respective business verticals like Fund Admin, Financial Solutions business (Manco) etc. Business Review, revenue by client, sales pipeline review, 3mth / FY FC rolling FW view, top clients, People efficiency scores, Adhoc Requests, Auditor Queries are some of the activities that will be performed by the team. Stakeholder Management which includes activities like regular connect with stakeholders, answering adhocs, deep dive analysis on numbers would be the major responsibility.

This being a pilot project, team will also be responsible for creating a Robust framework at India level to help stabalise and Expand the team in near future. A few activities are as below:

  • Prepare Various trackers,
  • Work within the team to create a robust team culture with proper back up for processes, SOP & documentation
  • Work towards automation (basis requirement), system transformation, innovation projects, enhancing the processes for better control and analytics

Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 5-20 years of Controllership & Business Partnering experience (Depending on the position)
  • Knowledge of Billing and Cash Collection required for the specific functional roles
  • CA/CFA/MBA is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and experience in Statutory and Regulatory Reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft package (Word/Excel/Power Point). Power BI Knowledge is an added advantage  
  • Knowledge of Workday/Adaptive Planning (Group Management Reporting system) preferred
  • Project Management Skills, Self-starter, Ability to multitask, good team player
  • Take accountability and end to end ownership of the tasks managed
  • Decision making capability and Attention to detail
  • Customer Centricity (Stakeholder Centricity)
  • Good Communication & Stakeholder Management skills
  • Strong Time Management skill, ability to work under pressure
  • Demonstrable use and management of large data sets 
  • Data analytics and visualisation skills
