Chief Commercial Officer - Captive and Insurance Management

What the day will look like

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for Aon Captive and Insurance Management (ACIM) will lead global business development and growth across the North America and EMEA regions. In addition to the development and execution of ACIM’s growth strategy, the CCO will focus on pipeline development, market penetration and revenue growth. This role involves defining and driving global and regional growth plans, ensuring growth, and partnering with various teams to develop and implement strategies.

  • Develop and carry out international and regional development initiatives.
  • Ensure growth and pipeline development within all regions in which ACIM operates.
  • Partner with regional management and domicile leadership to drive growth.
  • Collaborate with ACIM CEO and finance teams on planning and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with key Aon collaborators including CRS CCO’s and other growth-oriented colleagues within Aon to promote ACIM’s value proposition.
  • Identify and assess market opportunities and drive growth initiatives.
  • Develop marketing and sales strategies aligned with client needs.
  • Oversee and coordinate ACIM’s thought leadership efforts
  • Identify opportunities for transformational business growth.
  • Leverage Aon's market position to develop innovative client solutions.
  • Provide strategic advisory services and maintain strong client relationships.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Ten plus years of commercial risk experience, with a strong preference in the captive management space.
  • Strong understanding of regional business dynamics and client needs.
  • Strong understanding of risk finance concepts.
  • Entrepreneurial perspective with a passion for delivering client value.
  • Ability to build and maintain executive-level client relationships.
  • Strategic alignment with client market environment and industry insights.
  • Strong consulting skills and financial competence.
  • Effective communication and team management skills.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent years of industry experience. Relevant regulatory licenses and technical requirements

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $260,000 to $320,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.

Aon offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and regular part-time colleagues, including, but not limited to: a 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions; an employee stock purchase plan; consideration for long-term incentive awards at Aon’s discretion; medical, dental and vision insurance. This role does not accrue vacation. Rather, this role is eligible to take paid time off at the discretion of the employee and management in accordance with company policy and practices. Various other types of leaves of absence; paid sick leave as provided under state and local paid sick leave laws, short-term disability and optional long-term disability, health savings account, health care and dependent care reimbursement accounts, employee and dependent life insurance and supplemental life and AD&D insurance; optional personal insurance policies, adoption assistance, tuition assistance, commuter benefits, and an employee assistance program that includes free counseling sessions. Eligibility for benefits is governed by the applicable plan documents and policies.
