AI/ML Solutions Architect, Associate Director

What the day will look like

• Design end-to-end system architectures and propose appropriate technology stacks for AI/ML solutions.
• Contribute to and execute on the technology roadmap in partnership with the technical leadership team.
• Propose and drive proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives to modernize and enhance existing applications and platforms.
• Clearly articulate and document the pros and cons of design decisions, with particular focus on scalability, performance, reliability, and cost.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, data engineers, analysts, software developers, and business stakeholders to design and deliver high-performing, production-grade AI/ML and web applications.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and support for existing applications and ML workloads as needed.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Proven experience explaining proposed solutions using solution architecture diagrams that clearly show component interactions and data flows.
• Hands-on experience in ML engineering and end-to-end AI solution design, from data ingestion and feature engineering through to model deployment, monitoring, and operations.
• Strong familiarity with DevOps/MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and model lifecycle management (e.g., testing, lineage tracking, versioning, monitoring and alerting).
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL for data wrangling, transformation, and analysis.
• Deep interest and experience in designing for scalability, performance, and resilience; familiarity with traditional (e.g., layered, SOA) and modern (e.g., microservices, event-driven, cloud-native) system architecture patterns.
• Knowledge of GenAI solution patterns, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), model evaluation, and LLMOps.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and data warehouses, including query optimization and data modeling fundamentals.
• Working experience in agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban), including participation in ceremonies and iterative delivery.

Nice to haves:

• Possesses a computer science/software engineer or related degree/post-graduate degree
• Has experience as a software engineer, development team lead, application architect
• Azure AI engineer associate/AWS Certified machine learning specialty or Databricks certified (Data Engineer or ML Engineer)
