About the Role

 

Join our team as a Master Scheduler, where you’ll play a critical role in applying scheduling standards to develop, maintain, and optimise program and project schedules. You’ll ensure schedules are accurate, complete, and aligned with delivery objectives, enabling successful outcomes across complex initiatives.

What will your day look like?


As a Master Scheduler, you will:

 

  • Develop and maintain program and project master schedules, ensuring adherence to standards, completeness, and logical sequencing.
  • Build initiative work breakdown structures (WBS) and align schedules with objectives, milestones, and key deliverables.
  • Monitor progress, baseline schedules, and provide reliable time forecasts, ensuring accurate reporting to agreed cadence.
  • Analyse dependencies, critical paths, and interdependencies, proactively identifying risks, trends, and potential slippages.
  • Deliver actionable insights and scheduling advice to program and project leadership, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Train delivery teams in MS Project and champion continuous improvement in scheduling practices.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Previous experience as a Program/Project Master Scheduler in complex environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of planning tools (e.g., MS Project) and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven experience in developing detailed WBS and schedules, with strong understanding of delivery life cycles and project management principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships.
  • Analytical mindset and results focus, with a commitment to continuous improvement and working at pace in a high-performance culture.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, IT, or related discipline, and accreditation in project management frameworks (e.g., PMBOK).
