ANZ’s Government Relations and Policy team leads the bank’s engagement with Australian state and Commonwealth governments and elected officials and their policy agendas.
As the Head of Public Policy, you will be accountable for leading the policy work of the Government Relations and Policy team. The team is located within the bank’s Communications and Public Affairs (CPA) function.
Reporting to the Group General Manager, Government Relations and Policy, you will manage a small team of policy experts to engage with policy processes and help prepare witnesses for Parliamentary hearings. You will be expected to build respectful and ethical relationships with government officials who hold responsibility for banking-related policy. You will also need to develop and maintain strong connections with internal stakeholders to ensure the bank responds appropriately to policy developments and expectations.
