Mō te tūranga - About the role

 

As a Branch Manager within the Personal Banking Branch Network, you’ll be a key member of the Auckland leadership team. This role is centred on leading people and driving branch performance. You’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, delivering exceptional customer service, achieving sales targets and ensuring full compliance with ANZ’s policies and procedures. Your leadership will play a vital role in fostering a high-performing, customer-focused culture.

Role Type: Permanent, Fulltime

Role Location: Manuaku Mall Branch

Hours: This is a 7 day site so you will be required to work one weekend day and one late night until 6:00pm

As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Lead and guide a team of passionate bankers to deliver outstanding customer experience and exceed branch objectives
  • Monitor and manage branch performance across sales, revenue, productivity, and profitability, aligned with ANZ’s Pillars of Performance.
  • Ensure every customer interaction reflects ANZ’s commitment to quality and care.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant branch environment by upholding ANZ’s policies, procedures, and risk standards.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen customer connections and support their financial wellbeing.
  • Create a positive team environment that encourages collaboration, development, and success.

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Business development and sales planning experience
  • Leadership experience with a focus on team performance and development
  • Strong commercial acumen and business management capability
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills
  • Well-developed leadership skills and a growth mindset
  • Previous banking experience, preferably in a retail branch environment
  • Confidence using digital tools to enhance customer engagement
